Privacy Policy

RealNorth ("we", "us") is an exam-preparation app and website for Rajasthan government recruitment exams, operated from India. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Google account basics — your name, email address and profile picture, received when you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password. Sign in with Google is the only login method.
• Study data — your chosen exam, language preference, reservation category and area (used only to show the relevant cutoff), quiz attempts, scores, streaks and notes read. This is the product working as intended.
• Payment status — whether you purchased a plan, which one, and order references. In-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; your card/UPI/payment details are handled entirely by Google and are never received or stored by us.
• Notifications — if you allow notifications, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token so we can send study reminders and updates. You can turn these off anytime in Settings or your device settings.
• Technical basics — device type and app version, standard server logs (IP address, timestamps) kept for security and debugging.

What we do NOT do

• No selling or renting of your data to anyone.
• No advertising networks or third-party trackers in the app.
• No reading of your Google contacts, files or anything beyond the basic profile above.

Who processes your data

Your data is stored and processed by these service providers on our behalf: Google Cloud (servers, Mumbai region), Supabase (database and authentication), Google (sign-in, Google Play Billing for payments, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications). Each receives only what its function requires.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data anytime from Settings → Delete account in the app, or by emailing us from your registered email. Deletion is irreversible and takes effect immediately; payment records we are legally required to retain (tax/accounting) are kept as mandated.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent by deleting your account. Write to the grievance contact below; we respond within 30 days.

Children

RealNorth is intended for exam aspirants aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will post the new version here with an updated date.
